The Retirement stories section is dedicated to you, our guest author. We want to know about your successful retirement evolution stories. Tell us your life story. No, not your whole life, just change the starting point, begin with pre-retirement, take us through your retirement transition (the period two years prior to retirement) and finally the period of financial independence. It doesn't have to be the full story, perhaps just one segment. Brevity is the key. Your story should be designed to offer helpful lessons and inspiration. Retirement Dialog and your story can aid others, on their journey. We want to hear your unique story.
Where are you in the process, pre-retired, transitioning, or retired?
What has worked? What are the challenges you face? What are your fears?
To get you started below is a list of ideas that may help define your story. You don't need to tackle them all, rather focus on the ones that resonate with you. Speak from you heart, keep the thoughts flowing. Send an email with your story and we will review and post to the stories section. Focus on areas where you can help others. Or if you rather share areas of concern. Let us know and perhaps a solution can be found through the vast resources of the Retirement Dialog.
What makes your life meaningful? What have you always wanted to do, but haven't so far? How do you manage your time and energy? What is the most enjoyable and effective use of your time?
How do you manage your financial resources? How do you create a rising income stream to protect your purchasing power? How do you manage healthcare? Do you manage your portfolio? Do you use an advisor? How do you manage investment risk? Are you afraid of running out of money? How do you create your monthly paycheck? Have you relocated geographically (ex-patriots we want to hear your story) to better manage cash flow?
We could go on and on but hopefully we have stimulated your interest. We need your help, write your story. As a community we are stronger together!
